A Martyr, So Peculiar
06:56
|
|||
Who had selected me?
Or had curiosity lead me to my fallacy?
I stand before you, unholy entity
Alas, I cannot turn away
Disturbing my serenity
That which tempts me appears as my amenity
So peculiar, a martyr I present to be
The fruits of my labor can only be so sweet
I resent man, endure my life, so melancholy
Unfamiliar, I felt love when she looked on me
She grasped my hand and spoke of new bliss
"if you follow me"
I’m alive
Uncharted, I explore
and my life changed forever
I’m alive
Disturbance, I endure
Now this power, I render
The mind transcends
The sun and moon eclipse before my eyes
What once was light is now consumed, and such is I
Into the depths I seldom go, but now obliged
Corrupted innocence, but somehow less confined
Imitated by the skies
Deep in my efflorescence, I’ve stymied holy growth
To whom I owe the credit for this newfound, vile throne?
Somehow, I’m omnipresent
Somehow, annealed my bones
This power I will cherish, rewritten into my tome
My dearly beloved, I haven’t forgotten your smile
But I admire your scowl
I’m alive, less confined
That which tempts me appears as my amenity
So peculiar, a martyr I present to be

Catacombs
04:12
|
|||
Oh, what a dwelling place for mischief!
Uncertainty, a lair unfit for Christians
Unholy ambience, I feel I have no out
Listen closely, you can hear the demons growl
My hair stands vertically
A serpent slides towards me
In tongues, I hear him speak:
"What do you fear the most?
Is it demons, or is it ghosts?
Mine is a blackened rose
Hidden in beauty until it’s exposed"
Then, the floor collapsed beneath my feet
Tumbling into this cobweb infested,
subterranean gallery of Hell
With aroma of carcass and death,
I cannot see inches from self
But a torch, though distant, ignited
Draws me closer to what I hope is aid
Escape from the graves!
Sequenced, the pyres rise revealing cloaked shades
"Breathe life!" they chant as the dead reanimate
Crypts open wide
Mesmerized by malignant occurrence
Ensnared in this nightmarish realm
Attempts to flee lack much needed endurance
It isn’t much longer before I’ve become a rotter myself
One with the damned
I stand condemned
Searching again
For life’s merit

Undead!
04:40
|
|||
My cartilage so fragile
My teeth begin to rot
My siblings have come searching
But perhaps, they’d forgot
I’ve sunken into misery
Decisions made, undone
I cannot bear the horror
of the monster I’ve become
Undead!
I’m pale from lack of sunshine, it’s sublime
It’s a shame because I’ve only wanted friends
Undead!
Appearing so demonic, ironic
It’s a shame because my heart was left unfed
I do not need your pity
I haven’t lost my pride
No need to flee or panic
Because, after pain subsides
You’ll live amongst the brethren
A slave amongst the dead
A tribe to call your own
For eternity, in debt
As flesh descends from bone
I wander all alone
Back into these crypts, I go
Searching in these catacombs
For the mage of this calamity
Rid me of this dead distress
Rid me of Acropolis
No hubris left, I’ve dropped down to my knees
"Do you believe you are worthy of my grace?
I cannot undo what’s destined to take place"
Dear sorcerer, there has to be way
I have no sense of happiness, I’m left in disarray
"You unappreciative swine of sacred life
It’s taken disaster for you to sympathize
So, from each hellion, your visits are required
Take with you a piece of them, or else you’re doomed to cry:
So go erase my name
Just know I’m not the same
Just know I’m content with this curse
And I’m better off this way
So go erase my name
Just know I’m not the same
But I can’t help but wonder
If I loved, would things have changed? "

Lunate Famine
03:42
|

"Verdum is burned while alive
To serve as your archetype
Of man who denounces Heaven
and worships the night"
"As the sun goes down, I salivate
Nocturnal, my new mental state"
In the darkest spire of the darkest tower
Resides a miscreant bereft of power
Burgot, the murderer, those children scoured
Ordained in solitude for lasting hours
An obligation signed in blood
to serve the leader of the damned
In exchange for his sanity
He’s granted safeguard of his lamb
"Now, Burgot, you must strip yourself of dress
And pour over yourself this grand ointment"
I approach this lycanthrope
As the moon is absolute
He lunged at me with feral teeth
8 feet - Lord, what a beast
He lodged his claws 4 inches deep
Subcutaneous tissue bleeds
But what lies inside my sheath
Will be immunity
I impale the creature’s meat
Collecting sovereignty

To no surprise, he sees you weep
Your former love entombed at six feet deep
That Sunday evening,
you know it all too well
Your hands so frigid
and all attempts had been made to dispel
the notion that you just wouldn’t die
Thank goodness for the lumber
your husband cultivated for the night
Wealthy nobles, a class above the top
Your fortune, everlasting, but this glee is shattered by a
*Knock*
*Knock*
*Knock*
"With temperatures so below, who could be so mad?"
They gaze upon the front door
Uncertain what bedlamite
Would dare approach this lovely home
In arctic climate in midst of the night
They gaze upon the front door
Unaware what bounty lies
For her husband’s head delivered
To a man willing to pay the price
Former peasant, treated as a slave
Now with capabilities
to put his former master in a grave
The assailant awaits the door to creak
His blade glimmering mystique
"Into the night escapes your soul
Profusely bleeding, body cold
Muscles relax after I pull
the blade from your chest, off I go
Collect my wages
My fund for mages
To become eternally made
Vampiric destiny awaits"

Sonnet of the Vampire
03:40
|

"My ankles weak, I’m blood deprived
Haven’t endured feast in 30 nights
It takes so sweet, I’m nullified
Lived centuries, I cannot die
Have you ever wished for everlasting life?
How morbid the concept of death, I cannot lie
Have you ever wished to see the world anew?
Step to me, I’ll make your dreams come true
Draped in black, I’m unseen to the eye
Solitude, no love, but cannot cry
Handsome now, I’ll reveal myself in time
Begging me to leave, I can’t comply
I wouldn’t wish this upon anyone, not anyone
But I need what you carry, that burden so heavy (your blood)
But who would have thought?"

A Great Pestilence
03:59
|
|||
"Mother dearest, my body is shivering
I can’t comprehend why - in midst of July"
Mother dearest, perplexed at her kindred,
walks away from her offspring with tears in her eyes
Death calls her name
Chastisement for all her sins
"Men and women alike"
Castigate them, O Mother Messina
No exegesis, no rue on their lives
Sluggish symptoms consume their existence
Instantaneous closure of eyes
But this household demands explanation
They stare at her swellings, disturbed, terrified
Four tiny feet tap along the foundation
Intoxicated with pneumonic versions of hell
Sinking their teeth into flesh of delinquents
There is no evading - it’s inside the cattle as well
"I cannot breathe or bear this sensation
Behold this contagion
Who can I see?
The doctors and priests will not allow my facing"
The pain is writhing through her bones
Alas, her end is coming close
Malignancy travels by boat
Carried by chickens and by goats,
Blood is spewing from the throat
You cannot quarantine by moat
No administration of last rites
"In men and women alike"
Decomposition does not rid these bodies
of the Great Pestilence

The Cauldron Dance
03:59
|
|||
"One final component needed to reset you
You’ve gathered pieces from usurpers
The wolf, the vampire, bone dust
Flame is the fuel unto the burner
For this, the boiling’s a must
Concoction of intended renewal
Composition of what you disgust
In order for you to be free of evil
You must ingest its comprehension"
Heat intensifies
Bubbling-comprised
Hands, at once, arise
Chants are vocalized
Into the night
Prancing has begun
All in unison
Faint incantation
Trembling cauldron
I am in awe, yet succumbed!
"Raise your glass, wounded one
Entities, numerous
Atrocious is your cup
Tip it back, bottom’s up
Behold, your transformation
Master of Evils
Tamer of Gods
Sagas discovered
To you, we applaud
One with the demons, the disease, the dead
No line is straight without lines distorted"

Black Enchantment
05:06
|
|||
O, soothsayer, truth purveyor
What have you in store for me?
"Do not be dazzled by my guise
I’ll tell you where your future lies
So place your hands upon this glass
And soon you’ll come to realize
Together, we shall mysticize
The format for predicting lives
Although you’re seeking an escape
From darkness, herein you may lie"
Our hair begins to rise
My heart pulsating like ire
Colors changing into fire
And she recites:
"We are consumed by fire everlast
We are sure to be damned dancing with Bast
We are far concentrated in the past
We are redeemed only when we collapse, conceive, and correct"
Does this mean there’s no hope for me?
"Calm, you’ve been challenged, you shall see"
I’m afraid I don’t understand
"Like all the others before thee
They follow pleasure, as it seems
And as result, no longer breathe
Trotting here as an undead corpse
Due to lack of humanity
Break out of ease
Explore the world
Face diversity
Sift through your means
Look into yourself and tell me what you see"
I am intrigued by dark, although
If I follow, I’m alone
It may seem that I may cross my path with others
But I won’t
I may bleed until my bones
Wither out and I die alone
This life is only sought out by the mystic
Beware, and do not go
